Abstract submission

We would like to invite you to submit an abstract for the annual BSM symposium.

​Presentation types

Oral presentation

Choose “Oral presentation” if you want your abstract to be included in the selection process for an oral presentation. For each section/parallel session, 4 full (12 min presentation, 3 min Q&A) and 4 flash (3 min, 1 min Q&A) presentations will be selected. If not selected, your abstract will be automatically considered for poster presentation.

Poster presentation

Choose “Poster presentation” if your abstract is only to be considered for poster presentation.

Please be aware that only abstracts of authors that have registered for the symposium will be scheduled for presentation.

​Submission guidelines

You MUST use the abstract submission template file to prepare your abstract (max. 1 page).

Select an appropriate Section for your research:

• Section A: General microbiology
• Section B: Applied and environmental microbiology
• Section C: Host-microbe interactions

Save your abstract (word file) as “SectionX_PresentingauthorLastName.docx”
and submit via the form below.

Abstract submission deadline is January 10.
